Description
There is no wrong entry point. This workbook is deliberately non-linear — flip to what your classroom needs most right now. Hard week? Go to the emotion units. Setting up a calm corner for the first time? Start at Section A.
The daily routine
NAME IT → SIZE IT → TOOL IT → RETURN. Four steps, and three ways to run them:
- 10 minutes — all four steps, circle time, calm days.
- 3 minutes — name it, try one tool. Done is better than perfect, especially on a Monday.
- Hard day — skip the group entirely. A sheet on each desk, children quietly color the character that fits, no sharing required.

- A — Quick Start Guide. The daily routine, your setup checklist, setting up and running a calm corner, introducing the Krewe, and a note on trauma-informed practice.
- B — Routine Masters. Eight reproducible classroom forms: How’s My Krewe Today?, Body Clues Map, Weekly Feeling Tracker, My Calm Tool Krewe, My Best Moment This Week, My Calm Corner Plan, Circle Discussion Prompts, and a Family Connection Note.
- C — Emotion Deep Dive. Four units covering the big uncomfortable feelings, the socially complex ones, the self-awareness ones, and the feel-good ones. Each emotion gets a teacher reference page, a student activity, and coping tools.
- D — Family Connection. A parent welcome letter template written to work across single parents, grandparents, foster families and non-English-speaking households, plus take-home tip sheets.

- F — Resources. Reading for educators and caregivers, and children’s books that pair with the Krewe.
Built to work with the card deck
Student activity pages carry a card match strip at the bottom that tells you exactly which card pairs with each lesson. You do not need the deck to use the workbook — but together they build a shared vocabulary children carry with them all day.
